Apostille and legalization

Apostille and legalization of various documents are affixed by public institutions of Ukraine (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), in order that the document has legal effect abroad.
If the country where you may need your document is the participant of the Hague Convention, the document must have the Apostille on the back side. Apostille is a sign which indicates that the document is genuine and authentic.
In our agency Apostille affixation takes from two to forty days depending on the specifics of the document and your personal wishes.
Legalization is more complicated procedure. It is necessary in the case when country where the document will be applied, has not signed the Hague Convention.
The procedure of legalization has the following stages:
- Notarization of the document and its authentic translation into the language of the country where the document will be valid;
- Confirmation of the authenticity of the notary signature at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine;
- Certification by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
- Legalization of documents at the consulate of the country where the document will be valid.

!Attention! Apostille is stamped only on the original documents.The term of issuing of apostille on the old diplomas is form 25 to 40 working days.
