Validation of foreign educational documents (Nostrification)
In the event that you received an education abroad and have a diploma of Higher Education or Postgraduate Education, you will have to complete the process of validation in order to have the document usable in Ukraine.
Validation is the process of acknowledgement, checking of the legitimacy and equivalence of foreign documents by the Central Board of Education.
You can always sign up for the service of the validation of foreign educational documents at the SM-Group translation agency. Validation is performed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine in a maximum of 80 days and a minimum of 5 work days.
Validation takes a few steps:
- Registering and getting the documents ready:
First of all, in order to perform validation, the original documents, legalized by the country they were issued by, are required (with an apostil). You’ll also need the Application for the process of validation (you can fill it out right in our office), a notarized power of attorney for one of our agency’s employees, translated notarized copies of the documents (the prices for notarization are listed in the “prices” section), a copy of the document confirming the identity of the diploma’s owner, the owner’s identification code, copies of documents concerning previous education, an archived note from the institution where you received your previous education and a notarized copy (if that is possible ) and also a copy of the invitation from the Ukrainian university (if you are in possession of such an invitation) - Then the process of preliminary analysis of the documents takes place. In the event there is not enough o them our manager will inform the client and the necessary documents will be processed/taken in separately.
- After our agency's employee has received all the necessary documents, they will be transferred to the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine for analysis.
- This will result in the Ministry issuing a decree about the equivalence of your document (the equivalence can be complete or partial). You might also get a notice your request was denied.
